What are carpet tiles?
Carpet Tiles should be an option you consider when the time comes to design a new floor. Carpet tiles are square sections of carpeting that are sometimes used in place of rolled carpeting. Available in a variety of designs and styles, these simple carpet squares make the process of installing carpeting in a room much less messy and complicated. Along with easy installation, the tiles also can be replaced easily in the event that a section of tiles are stained or worn over time, without having to replace the entire carpet.
The biggest advantage that carpet tiles have over regular wall-to-wall carpeting is that individual tiles can be removed and replaced should they get dirty or stained. Unlike large carpets where stains can set and be difficult to remove, an individual tile can be replaced with very little effort or expense.Other advantages that are less well known are that they have noise reducing abilities as well as their moisture and bacteria resistant benefits. With no significant and noticeable difference between standard carpet and carpet tiles it's easy to see why in modern day times tiles have become hugely popular.
Care & Maintenance
Vacuuming every 2 or 3 days or even weekly will be sufficient to keep your carpet tile clean and fresh. However, in the event of a spill follow these simple steps.
Identify sources of soiling and react to spills promptly. Blot up all liquid spills as opposed to rubbing. Then flush with clean water to further dilute the spill. Repeat as necessary to further remove the liquid. For solid materials, first remove particles carefully then follow the above procedure.
Use a vacuum with strong suction and a beater bar brush to bring soil particles in the pile to the surface of the carpet. This will allow the particles to then be drawn into the vacuum bag.
